Avec Plaisir Fine Lingerie and Swimwear has been in business for 30 years. Its' owner and founder, Vasilia, created the concept of her boutique to serve the need for comprehensive bra fittings in the Ontario region. Until then, this idea was largely unheard of in Canada and lingerie fittings in the truest sense are still not practiced in North America today.
Most stores know the theory of bra fitting, however because women come in so many shapes and sizes it is rare to find a bra fitter who understands each type. In some cases, a client may need to try on 20 bras before one or two are acceptable. To Vasilia that is inconceivable. " You cannot call yourself a painter when you have no brushes. " To be a specialist in bra fitting or any other lingerie fitting it is expected that you offer only precisly made garments.
At Avec Plaisir we do not offer any collections that are not prcisely made to enter our store. It is a matter of principle. We stand behind our word of quality, comfort and precise lingerie fittings. Lingerie is a very detailed garment and each collection is made with a woman in mind. It is important then to not only choose the right collection for you, but to also consider the proper shape and fabric for your torso. This is where Avec Plaisir fine lingerie and swimwear excels. We understand each woman's shape and how to make her look her best. You do not have to try on the whole store to find one bra that works for you. Our staff, with a trained eye will know what to offer your figure and size. If shopping for a bra, sleepwear, pantyhose, swimwear, or any other lingerie garment, we will assist you properly in each department.
Over the years Vasilia has frequently appeared on many television shows such as: "So Chic", assisting the host Chris, with putting together the appropriate lingerie to match the contestants outfit; "Breakfast Television", showing women how to look thinner with the right lingerie; "Brides" on the Life Network, had Vasilia do both a whole segment on bra fittings and another show on how bras affect your health; "Sexy Girl", a show that teaches woman how to feel and be sexy; and last but not least, we helped behind the scenes with the "Dove" commercials. It is because of our expertise that we have gained the trust of many wardrobe consultants in the film industry. We Assist them in creating the right look for their stars when working on film/ TV commercials or videos.
